Alma y Tierra Foundation was born from a simple and ancient truth: that lasting peace in the world cannot be legislated, manufactured, or imposed from the outside. It must be cultivated — from the inside out, one human being at a time.
We are a nonprofit organization rooted in the living traditions of indigenous peoples across the Americas — from the Andean highlands of Chile and Peru, to the rainforests of the Brazilian Amazon. We believe that the most urgent work of our time is not political, but spiritual: the restoration of each person's connection to themselves, to the living Earth, and to one another.
Wars, ecological collapse, and collective suffering do not arise from a lack of resources — they arise from a profound disconnection. From the land. From ceremony. From the understanding that what we do to the Earth, we do to ourselves.
Ayni — the Quechua principle of sacred reciprocity — offers us a path back. When a human being learns to give and receive in right relationship, that harmony radiates outward. Into families. Into communities. Into the world.
This is not idealism. It is ancient science.
